General Information to Know Before Booking a Boat with Our Resort:
- You must be at least 18 years of age to rent a motorboat, pontoon, or personal watercraft.
- If you are a resident of Minnesota, over the age of 18 but 21 years of age or younger, you must possess a valid Watercraft Operator’s Permit, or have a valid accompanying operator with you.
- If you are wanting to rent a boat or watercraft for longer than 4 hours, you will need to first click on the pick up date option and a new window will open. You will then choose your rental duration which will allow you to choose longer than a four hour reservation timeframe, don’t forget to hit apply!
- To cancel your reservation and receive a refund, you must text BJ’s Bait and Tackle at (320) 274-3730, 24 hours prior to your reserved pick up time, state your name, reservation date and pick up time. If we do not receive the text message 24 hours prior to your reserved pick up time we are unable to refund your reservation. There are no refunds on reservation cancellations over a holiday timeframe, such as Memorial Day (May 23 – May 26, 2025), 4th of July (July 3 – July 6, 2025), and Labor Day (August 29 – September 1, 2025).
- BJ’s Bait and Tackle is not responsible for weather and there are no refunds because of poor weather. It is your choice to cancel your reservation, and to receive a refund your cancellation request must be 24 hours prior to your reserved pick up time and not over a holiday timeframe.

All Boats and Watercraft Must Stay on Clearwater Lake, Lake Augusta, or Otter Lake
Lake. - Pontoon and Fishing Boat Rentals come equipped with one full tank of gas, life jacket(s) (number dependent on watercraft type), lights, 3 anchors, one fire extinguisher, and one map of the lake.
- Canoes, Kayaks, and Paddle Boards come equipped with life jacket(s) (number dependent on watercraft type) and paddle (number dependent on watercraft type).
- We do not have a watercraft option to fulfill the request of tubing or waterskiing.
